Profile: Hello and welcome to Princeton University, where I have had the pleasure of spending more than a decade, both as a graduate student many years ago, and these days as a Lecturer in the Department of Economics and Princeton School of Public & International Affairs. I have taught graduate and undergraduate courses (e.g., macroeconomics, international economics, macroeconomic adjustment in developing countries, and financial policies in developing countries), and have advised senior theses. I worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for 25+ years in various senior positions, including serving on its Executive Board and managing IMF offices in Africa and Asia. I also worked at the State Bank of Pakistan as Adviser to the Governor, and served on the Monetary Policy Committee, which was responsible for the conduct of monetary policy. My hobbies are playing tennis and squash, and I also enjoy cooking and traveling with my wife and our two sons.
